- 5 years proven experience in a bakery or similar food production environment.
- Pastry qualification (advantageous)
- Excellent baking and pasty making skills, including the ability to develop and innovate steps
- Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in supervising and training staff
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with others
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage production schedules and inventory effectively
- Knowledge of food safety and HACCP
- Familiar with industry trends and product developments
- Must have own transport and valid license - non negotiable
- Produce high-quality bread and pastry products that meet the bakery's standards and customer expectations
- Develop new recipes an innovate on existing ones to keep bakery products fresh and appealing
- Manage inventory and supplies
- Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure smooth and efficient operations of the bakery
- Manage the production schedule of the bakery
- Train and supervise staff
- Maintain accurate production records and other administrative tasks
