OverviewKP Dev Institute (Pty) Ltd (KDI) is a leading people development service provider within the Pele Energy Group of companies in South Africa, implementing socio-economic and enterprise development (SE.ED) programmes. The SE.ED programmes offered to clients include Renewable Energy Technologies Skills (Solar Water Heating, Solar PV, Wind Turbine, other RET initiatives and Energy Storage Systems). The services offered by KDI focus mainly in communities where large projects such as power plants, Independent Power Producers (IPPs), mining companies and large industries are located. These projects sites are mainly rural, township and peri-urban areas mostly challenged by poverty, lack of resources, remoteness from critical development opportunities and high unemployment. RET skills are essential programmes to developing employable talents and developing entrepreneurship.KDI is looking to employ a RET Programmes Manager (Technician) . This full-time role provides skills development opportunities for middle managers with Solar Water Heating systems, Solar PV systems, and Wind Turbine systems technicians and other RET Systems. The RET Skills Facilitator reports to the Head of Development within KDI.Requirements
  • Facilitate skill development training programmes to the participants on selected business/trade.
  • Research and staying up to date with advancements in renewable energy technologies sector.
  • Identification and evaluating renewable energy opportunities in Solar, wind, and hydro.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements within the industry
  • Collaborate closely with Business Unit Leads to ensure efficient programme implementation
  • Managing projects budgets, timelines and resources
  • Programme Assets recording and Management
  • Developing strategies to improve BU products and services
  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and programme beneficiaries
  • Monitor Learner Management System with the support of the facilitators
  • Where applicable, lead renewable energy outreach programmes that are beneficial to the participants.
  • Monthly report writing to update clients and stakeholders
