- Lead Generation: Utilize various channels such as cold calling, referrals, networking events, online research, and partnerships to identify and generate leads. Manage leads effectively using CRM tools.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough consultations with potential customers to understand their energy needs, evaluate solar potential, and offer tailored solutions. Educate customers on the benefits of solar energy, including cost savings and environmental impact.
- Sales Presentations: Develop persuasive sales presentations to educate customers about solar energy, installation process, and address concerns. Customize presentations based on customer requirements.
- Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive proposals outlining system design, equipment specifications, financial analysis, and ROI estimation. Collaborate with engineering teams for accurate proposals.
- Negotiation and Closing: Effectively negotiate terms and pricing to maximize sales opportunities. Overcome objections and facilitate closing of sales contracts.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the sales process. Provide excellent customer service and manage post-installation follow-up for customer satisfaction and referrals.
- Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, competitor activities, and government policies related to renewable energy. Continuously enhance knowledge of solar technology advancements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams for a seamless transition from sales to installation. Communicate customer requirements and provide necessary documentation
- for successful project execution.
- Proven track record in sales, preferably in the solar or renewable energy industry.
- Strong understanding of solar energy systems, benefits, and underlying technology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage and build rapport with customers.
- Ability to deliver persuasive sales presentations and address customer objections.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills to achieve sales targets.
- Self-motivated and target-driven with the ability to work independently.
- Proficient in using CRM tools and sales software for lead management and reporting.
- Ability to analyse energy consumption patterns and provide accurate system sizing recommendations.
- Knowledge of local regulations, incentives, and financing options related to solar energy is a plus.
- A valid driver's license and willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
