- Conduct daily reconciliation of cashbooks and bank accounts, including follow-ups on bank-related queries.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, providing supporting documentation.
- Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations, adjusting for FX rates as needed.
- Capture supplier invoices, ensuring compliance with VAT and tax invoice requirements.Escalate invoice-related queries for timely resolution.
- Manage creditor relationships, including requesting statements and timely procurement of invoices.
- Prepare monthly creditor reconciliations, review age analysis, and ensure timely payments to suppliers.
- Ensure accurate and timely raising of debtors' invoices with correct documentation and review debtors' age analysis for payment allocation.
- Prepare and process month-end general journals and monthly management accounts byreporting deadlines.
- Compile and reconcile monthly VAT calculations, ensuring timely submission of returns.
- Prepare monthly tax calculations, ensuring timely provisional tax payments.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, quarterly forecasts, and annual financial statement.
- Prepare bi-weekly cash flow forecasts and manage voucher stock procurement.
- Prepare and release bi-weekly supplier ad hoc payments, ensuring timely processing and adherence to agreed terms.
- Manage the fixed asset register, including monthly depreciation, asset disposals, and reconciliations with the General Ledger.
- Review payroll processes monthly, ensuring accurate payroll processing and reconciliations.
- Oversee the organisation and filing of all financial documents in a timely and organisedmanner.
- Manage secretarial and administrative duties, including bank and regulatory liaisons.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an accounting role, preferably within a small to medium-sized business environment. This should include at least 3 years dedicated to financial accounting and reporting.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in foreign exchange transactions and a solid understanding of theirfinancial impact.
- Demonstrated expertise in consolidation, financial management reporting, andexperience in group reporting are essential.
- Familiarity with IFRS, SARS VAT, the Companies Act, and Tax regulations, with 3to 5 years of practical application.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP functions, andpivot tables.
- Must have hands-on experience with XERO accounting software.
- Experience in digital marketing & advertising / SaaS industries are advantageous.
