We are seeking unique people who believe in fostering a diverse and inclusive and safe environment.We’re on the lookout for an experienced Senior Clerk within General Accounts to ensure that processing completed by the General Accounts Team, is completed accurately, on time, according to correct accounting and VAT principles, with the necessary approvals obtained as documented in the GBS SLA Agreement.As Senior Clerk : General Accounts, you will be responsible to :Perform the first review of payment proposals run by the General accounts team and submit to Financial Manager for secondary review.Investigate queries from within the orgnisation or other parties related to General accounts, identify and action resolutions to ensure the query is closedIdentify process improvements and communicate recommendations to the Financial Manager for approvalWork with the RPA team to map out and document processes earmarked for RPA and perform the requisite testing.Supervise the uploading of general Journals ensuring that journal requests are processed timeously and with the necessary approvals.Review and maintain the accrual and prepayment accounts, general ledger recons and process intercompany journalsPrepare local intercompany payments and provide payment allocations to the respective Assistant finance officerSupervise the processing of PO intercompany invoices and foreign intercompany invoices, providing guidance and training to the team member responsible for the processing of these invoices.Review travel and credit card journals before process is uploaded on SAP ensuring that travel policy has been adhered toReview overdue credit card submission report, and ensure that action has been taken for users with overdue submissions, in line with the Travel policyPopulate Tax Pack schedules with monthly movements and explanations for movements, including various General ledger codes required by the Tax department.Invoice tenants that lease property from SAPPI on a monthly basisReview General accounts cash flow figures, weekly and confirm forecasted figures are accurate and complete.What are we looking for?Completed Diploma or Degree in Accounting or a related fieldAt least 2 years’ experience working in an Accounting environment with SAP FI experience coupled with MS Office (Excel)Supervisory experience would be considered advantageousClosing Date: 23 April 2024How to Apply?
