  • A new Blended Learning School with a national footprint is looking to secure a teacher that can take on a management role.
  • This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher (MAths and/or Sciences preferrably) looking to get involved in management and expand their career
  • The client is looking for an individual who has the appetite to grow with the organisation as they expand and grow.
  • This is an onsite management and teaching Role not a REMOTE POST
Purpose of Role:
  • Our client is looking for a Vice Principal with a fresh perspective and the ability to learn and enjoy a challenge of school that offers a blended learning approach
  • You will also be expected to teach as this is a very small school with MASSIVE growth potential
  • MATHS and/or SCIENCE SP and FET Teaching experience preferred
  • Someone with a growth mind-set and the ability to drive marketing growth.
  • Ability to drive and manage teaching teams - Currently a handful of teachers
  • The job duties of the school principal involve overseeing the operation of the blended school.
  • The succussful candidtes responsibility would include defining the educational direction of the school and refining school policies and expectations for both teachers and students.
Responsibilities:
  • Oversee day-to-day online school operations
  • Development and review of budgets, policies and regulations for the smartschool sand hybrid facility
  • Set learning goals for students and teachers based on curricula
  • Assis tom recruiting of facilitators, monitor their performance, and facilitate professional development/training
  • Effectively planning leave, contingency plans and ensure policies and procedures are followed
  • Outreach to increase enrollment and encouraging parental involvement in their child's learning efforts.
  • Planning, attending and presenting meetings with staff and parents and other stakeholders
  • Plan and organise school events, field trips, open days and marketing events along with national team
  • Planning and scheduling the end and beining of term preparation and managing the readiness ofr th estart of the new term for the centre/s
  • Manage the customer relations, quality assurance and customer feedback process so as to ensure a professional offering for students
  • Sitting in on disciplinary and incapacity cases as well as studnet disciplinary hearings
  • Develop staffing Objective and Key Results (OKR)
  • Training the centre facilitator lead to manage day-today minor operation and training on how to and when to escalate
  • Handle emergencies and school crises
  • Attend conferences to gain knowledge on current educational trends f
  • Develop alongside management, a marketing strategy for Smartschools
  • Streamline adminssions process
  • Work with bodies such as DBE on regularatory compliance
Requirements and skills:
  • Degree in Education or a Post Graduate Certificate
  • Teaching experience (5 years plus) in the classroom
  • Online teaching experience is advantageous
  • Attention to detail. Dynamic and adaptable
  • Strong customer relations and business development skills
  • Be able to wear a number of hats (HR, finance, marketing, ops)
  • Great presentation and communication skills
  • Strong operations experience
  • Ability to coach and inspire
