If you have experience in facilities maintenance and a hands-on approach to problem-solving, we invite you to apply and contribute to the smooth operation of our manufacturing facility.Job Purpose:As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will report to our Facilities Manager and play a crucial role in maintaining the facilities and equipment at our manufacturing plant. Leveraging your technical skills and attention to detail, you will perform a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for our employees.Key Responsibilities:Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.Perform preventive maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Repair and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, including HVAC systems, lighting, and machinery.Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address issues in a timely manner.Assist with facility improvements and renovations as needed.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory.Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in all maintenance activities.Coordinate with external contractors and vendors for specialized maintenance tasks.Assist with emergency response procedures and protocols as needed.Support other departments with facility-related tasks and projects as assigned.Desired Experience & Qualification:.Previous experience in facilities maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.Strong technical skills with knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.Proficiency in using hand and power tools for maintenance and repair tasks.Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.Effective communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy lifting and bending.Qualifying Attributes:Strong work ethic and reliability.Proactive and self-motivated with a hands-on approach.Adaptability and flexibility in a dynamic work environment.Commitment to safety and quality standards.Effective time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.Salary: Negotiable, commensurate with experience.Application: Please apply with your resume and a cover letter highlighting your experience in facilities maintenance and your interest in joining our team.Note: If you do not hear from us, please consider your application unsuccessful.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: From R1,00 per monthExperience:facilities maintenance: 2 years (Required)
