GM / GM Couple - FijiFull job descriptionCedar Wood Recruitment is looking for an experienced Manager/Management Couple for an Island Resort in FIJI. Salary: USD 5154 (R98,600) per month. Seeking a professional Manager/Management Couple, wishing to further develop an already successfulresort operation in the FIJI Islands.You will be responsible for the daily operational success of the resort and to ensure guestsleave with wonderful memories that last until they return to create more! A ‘hands-on’management style is required to uphold quality standards and ensure staff productivity.Managing the operations smoothly whilst still embodying the happiness and friendlinessthat Fijis so well known for is obligatory. You will interact with the owners of the property,head office on the mainland, guests, suppliers, the community, visiting travel agents andstaff. Responsibilities also include engaging, training and development of key leadershippersonnel within the resort. A person with passion and empathy who can learn and relateto different cultures, in order to manage staff and cultivate their best abilities will mostenjoy this role.Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a managerial role within a boutique resort/hotel orrelated tourism industry. Operational knowledge and experience in boutique property departments includingfront office, food and beverage, housekeeping and VIP hostingHospitality Industry QualificationsAbility to lead and motivate a teamExceptional customer service skillsAbility to work under pressure and resolve issues quickly and efficiently is a must.Ability to multi-task with excellent time management and attention to detail.Ability to maintain a budget and make decisions to ensure the resort operates withinbudget.Competent in Microsoft office, web based applications, booking software and hotelmanagement systems.Good understanding of Social MediaUnderstanding of Workplace Health & Safety requirements.Previous experience in the South Pacific or remote islands is advantageousCurrent and valid manual drivers license is essential What is on offer?An appropriate salary with company benefits after successful completion of probationperiod, along with a unique and supportive working environment.
