- Research and identify potential customers through various channels, including online research, social media, and industry events.
- Utilise prospecting tools and techniques to build a robust pipeline of leads.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to leverage inbound lead generation efforts.
- Reach out to potential clients to initiate contact and gauge interest (outbound communication)
- Engage prospects in a conversation to understand their challenges and introduce them to the solutions offered by the company.
- After qualifying leads, schedule appointments and demonstrations for potential clients with the sales team.
- Keep track of all sales leads and follow-ups in the sales pipeline.
- Ensuring usage of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to document interactions and progress with potential clients.
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure a smooth transition of qualified leads and to align on target markets and sales strategies.
- Ensure that targets or quotas for the number of leads generated, calls made, meetings scheduled and attended, and number of sales made and revenue achievement.
- Constantly research market trends, understanding competitor offerings, and identifying new opportunities for sales outreach.
- Continuously enhance product knowledge to effectively communicate value to potential customers.
- At least 3 years+ proven work experience in sales development or similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or related qualification preferred
- High aptitude for understanding the application of technology
- Understanding of lead work flows or marketing background would be advantageous.
- Existing relationships in the South African Automotive Industry advantageous
- Afrikaans speaking is essential.
- Good project management skills.
- Technical skills required, as they relate to the use of the product or service.
- Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships.
- Accountability and personal organisation skills are essential.

- Strong soft skills required – ability to listen and present to clients at various levels.
