Job Summary Hire Resolve's client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join their team in the chemical industry in Gauteng. The Demand Planner will be responsible for developing and maintaining accurate demand forecasts to ensure optimal inventory levels and meet customer demand. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of supply chain principles, and experience in the chemical industry.Responsibilities:

Collaborate with sales, marketing, and production teams to understand demand forecast requirements
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using historical data, market trends, and customer feedback
Monitor and analyze demand patterns, sales trends, and market conditions to identify potential risks and opportunities
Work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials based on demand forecasts
Communicate forecasts and inventory requirements to internal stakeholders and external partners
Monitor inventory levels, identify excess or shortage situations, and implement corrective actions
Support sales and operations planning processes to ensure alignment between demand forecasts and production capacity
Prepare regular reports and metrics to track forecast accuracy, inventory levels, and supply chain performance

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Chemicals, or a related field
3+ years of experience in a complex chemical manufacturing planning environment
Solid understanding of forecasting techniques, inventory management, and supply chain principles
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, SAP, and demand planning software
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
