Job Summary Job Title: Payroll Manager Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the payroll team, providing guidance, support, and training as needed. Allocate tasks and responsibilities effectively within the payroll team to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing. Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that aligns with our values. Support the professional development and career advancement of payroll team members. Empower the payroll team to handle payroll inquiries and issues, providing timely and accurate answers and assistance to clients. Oversee the full payroll cycle. Manage the implementation and maintenance of payroll systems and software, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization and comply with relevant regulations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Tax and Management Accountants, to streamline processes and ensure accurate and timely payroll data processing. Develop and maintain payroll procedures and policies to ensure consistency, efficiency, and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements and lead the implementation of initiatives to optimize payroll operations. Grow the payroll book with the assistance of a business development team. Skills and Abilities of the Ideal Candidate: Proficiency in payroll software such as Payspace and Simplepay. Experience in managing a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. A strong passion for leveraging technology and software to enhance automation and work efficiency. This is a fulltime permanent position based in office in Somerset West. Area: Somerset West.
