- BCom or any other relevant tertiary qualification (a statistical degree would be advantageous)
- At least 2 - 4 years of experience in a similar role
- FAIS Representative (RE5) compliance would be advantageous
- Insurance experience
- Well-spoken and articulate individual
- Excellent command of the English language (written and verbal)
- Must be comfortable with arithmetic and Excel reporting
- Meticulous attention to detail and must be able to work under pressure
- Motivated and energetic, with a desire to learn and grow in the insurance industry
Claims Administration:
- Reports directly to the Claims and Legal Director
- Assist and administer with the companies claims process: Receive claim notifications
- Ensure all required claim information is provided
- Register claim on system, with reference to policy documentation
- Upload all claims documents and correspondence to the system
- Assist with following up on claims-related queries with brokers/loss adjusters/attorneys
- Assist with inputting claim reserves and reporting large loss reserves to the CEO
- Assist with claim/invoice payments
- Load payments on the system and online banking
- Ensure claims statuses are up to date and close off claims that are not active
- Assist with and attend claims meetings, held twice a month with the CEO and underwriters
- Reports directly into the Financial Manager Receiving and managing transmittal sheets, placing slips and premises locations in preparation for underwriters
- Capturing of policies onto the system
- Managing policy endorsements and loading onto the system
- Capturing Noting of interest onto the system
- Assist with the policy pipeline for preparing underwriters for upcoming renewal months
- Assisting with the management of premises GPS coordinates and its updating onto the system
- Assisting with the management of accumulations
- Receive submissions from brokers for underwriting and assist with survey and compliance reports
- Liaising with brokers regarding policy renewals and assisting with follow-ups
- Assist with the evaluation of risk in aligning with reinsurance parameters
- Diarising impairment notifications and following up on completion dates
- Managing policy documentation on the system
- Reports directly to the Financial Manager Receiving and managing transmittal sheets, placing slips and premises locations in preparation for underwriters
- Capturing of policies onto the system
- Managing policy endorsements and loading onto the system
- Capturing Noting of interest onto the system
- Assist with the policy pipeline for preparing underwriters for upcoming renewal months
- Liaising with the policy administration system provider in the development and resolving of issues
- Assist with pricing initiative
- Reports directly to the Financial Manager Assist with creating a database for Financial Management purposes
- Assist with creating procedure manuals
- Assist in receipting of premium on Grail and credit control
- Assist in maintaining company secretarial requirements for the Company Secretary
- Assist in periodic audits of underwriting and claims underwriting processes
