Travel Consultants

• Grade 12 essential
• Must have a relevant tourism degree or diploma
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar position is essential
• Broadly traveled in Africa candidate essential
• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience selling in African safaris with a proven track record of successful sales
• Must be proficient in TourPlan, ResRequest, Waybird or similar
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office
• Must have knowledge of African destinations, wildlife, cultures, and current travel trends
• Must have strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• Must have excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks is essential
• Will need to be able to design and sell personalized safari itineraries that cater to the needs and interests of clients
• Will need to research, evaluate, and select appropriate suppliers such as hotels, lodges, camps, and transport providers
• Must be able to plan and coordinate complex bookings including flights, visas, and travel insurance
• Must be able to provide expert advice to clients on African destinations
• Must collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and business goals
• Must maintain accurate records of sales, payments, and other related documentation
