  • Travelling to various client sites to perform repairs and maintenance of lithium-ion battery systems and chargers for forklifts and other materials handling equipment.
  • Communicating with end users to quickly establish root problems with equipment.
  • Providing consistent feedback to the line manager while performing on-site repairs and maintenance.
  • Perform accurate inspections, analysis, and troubleshooting of system failures in the event of equipment breakdowns.
  • Running tests and interpreting results to diagnose system errors and explore possible solutions.
  • Executing repair and maintenance tasks on lithium-ion battery systems, in a timeously manner.
  • Accurately completing procedural documentation, such as job cards, reports or other such admin type tasks.
  • Performing inhouse repairs or rebuilds to lithium-ion battery and charger systems.
  • Being available for afterhours standby and attending call outs after hours as required. Or at times working night shift patterns.
  • Executing other service and nonservice related tasks as instructed by the line-manager.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  • 1 year of professional experience with a relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Diploma or Trade (NQF5/N6) in electronic, electrical, or auto-electrical fields;
  • Alternately 4+ years’ professional experience in electronic, electrical, or auto-electrical fields.
  • Experience in technical support roles is highly advantageous but not required.
  • Reliable own transport and a valid driver’s license is a must. However, travel to customer sites will be attended using the company vehicle.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a technical mindset.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting, time management, and computer literacy (MS Office).
