Our company is currently hiring for a Business Development Consultant within the Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) region, with the option to work remotely or in one of our offices located in Harare or Cape Town.Responsibilities:To contribute to the strategic direction of the business through identifying and creating commercial recruitment solutions for major business winsTo work with the delivery function to identify and maximise new business opportunities in existing clients and leverage all commercial opportunities across major key accountsTo achieve specific new business targets and growth goalsTo contribute to the strategic direction of the business through identifying and creating commercial recruitment solutions for major business wins:Through high level networking, constantly seeks and identifies new and commercial business opportunitiesProactively maps and networks with C Suite contacts to develop strategically important relationshipsIs instrumental in the creation of the Client Development StrategyMeets and monitors their own monthly new business activitiesDelivers against the overall Client Development StrategyInitiates new and innovative client development vehiclesWorks closely with marketing to identify new client engagement strategies based upon client and market demandsIdentifies and attends all relevant industry events + networking opportunitiesKeeps abreast of industry updates and is 'known' as a Market Expert in their fieldIs a member of relevant industry Associations / networking groupsInitiates and leads new client pitches and major account opportunitiesMarkets MPC's to senior level contactsMarket evangelist - with support of marketing, actively blogs and creates industry engaging content regularlyRuns an industry 'group' on LinkedinIn conjunction with marketing, creates webinars and strategy sessions to generate new businessHighly proactive in all areas of social media to create awareness and new business opportunitiesTo work with the delivery function to identify and maximise new business opportunities in existing clients and leverage all commercial opportunities across major key accountsTakes a lead role for high profile accountsProactively networks and upsells within existing clientsLeads review meetings were required with existing major accountsNetworks with C Suite contacts across the industry to develop new contacts in existing clientsKeeps abreast of industry challenges to ensure innovative recruitment solutions are being presented to clientsTo achieve specific new business targets and growth goalsAnalyses own performance regularly and ensures they are on trackExcellent use of proactive client development systemsProactive in identifying new opportunities and innovative creative solutionKey Skills:Proven track record in business development and sales, preferably within the recruitment industry.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence decision-makers.Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with a focus on delivering value to clients.Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities.Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple client accounts and projects simultaneously.Knowledge of recruitment processes and best practices is desirable but not essential.Qualifications:Experience in business development or sales roles, preferably within the recruitment or staffing industry.Proven success in achieving and exceeding sales targets and objectives.Additional certifications or training in sales and marketing is a plus.
