(Role, Responsibilities and Key Activities):
- Vehicle specification Management
- Supplier Management
- Provide Technical advise
- Technical support to Procurement team, load distribution and design drawings, provided that all required information is completed and correct
- Supply technical drawings for all commercial vehicles when required
- Technical support Contracts, new business and tenders, attend tender briefing and client specification meetings where required.
- Assist with vehicle selection in line with vehicle capabilities and client or tender requirements and expectations (provide fit for purpose solutions)
- Assist with vehicle / body design: Supplier management body builders, specification sign off and weekly progress report to Procurement
- Minimum 5 years relevant experience in Transport or Fleet Management
- Relevant Industry body professional membership an added advantage
- 3 5 years technical & commercial fleet experience
- Detailed understanding of the Road Traffic Act specifically with regards to requirements of road legal vehicles / load distributions / overloading etc.
- Extensive knowledge of commercial vehicles, bodies & application
- Matric / Grade 12
- Qualified diesel and / or petrol mechanic
- Excellent Self-starter

- Computer literate (MS Office)
- Code C1 drivers license.
