Grounds Maintenance Manager - Nooitgedacht WynmakeryFull job descriptionGrounds and Maintenance Supervisor:Primary Responsibilities:- Oversee the maintenance and landscaping of the wedding venue and guesthouse grounds.- Develop and implement a groundskeeping schedule to ensure regular care of lawns, gardens, walkways, and other outdoor spaces.- Manage a team of groundskeepers, gardeners, or contractors, including hiring, training, and scheduling.- Coordinate with event planners and management to ensure the grounds meet the specific needs and aesthetics of each event.- Manage the maintenance of outdoor facilities, such as patios, pools, and outdoor lighting.- Ensure all outdoor areas are safe and comply with health and safety regulations.- Develop and manage the maintenance budget, including costs for repairs, upgrades, new purchases, procurement of plants, equipment, and supplies.- Implement and oversee waste disposal and recycling procedures.- Optimize resource allocation to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high standards of maintenance.- Respond quickly to any grounds-related issues or emergencies.Building Maintenance:- Oversee the maintenance, repair, and renovation of buildings and structures, ensuring they meet safety standards and operational requirements.- Schedule regular inspections and maintenance of building systems, including structural integrity, roofing, plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC.- Coordinate with contractors for specialized maintenance or construction projects.Equipment Maintenance:- Ensure that all equipment, including HVAC systems, kitchen appliances, maintenance machinery, and IT infrastructure, is functioning correctly and efficiently.- Implement and oversee a preventive maintenance program to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of equipment.- Keep an inventory of equipment and manage procurement of new equipment or parts as needed.Team Supervision:- Supervise a team of maintenance technicians, janitorial staff, or external contractors.- Organize training sessions to ensure the team is proficient in the latest maintenance techniques and safety protocols.- Assign and oversee tasks, ensuring quality standards and deadlines are met.Safety and Compliance:- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.- Develop and implement emergency procedures for equipment failures or building issues.Job Type: Full-timeApplication Deadline: 2024/03/31
