Head of IT - JhbFull job descriptionManagement : Support of both strategic and operational goals of organisation – Propose annual budget.Build skills within department, to reduce employee reliance and develop horizontal job loading.Build quality engagements to facilitate improved support.Updated DRP schedule.Propose and verify roadmap as well as changes with CFO.Develop and recommend technology budgets.Approve technology equipment and software to support infrastructure as recommended by the Network Administrator.Manage vendor relationships and put service level agreements in place to mitigate risk.Quarterly technology board report submission.Technology policy planning and development in conjunction with the Network Administrator (Technology, infrastructure, security, maintenance, workflows and disaster planning).Develop technology roadmap to ensure strategic company objectives can be met.Mentoring and training of Technology employees.Develop and build on existing relationships with line managers.Ensure development projects meet company strategic objectives, within specified time-frames and pre-determined budgets.Identify technology and process related risk and implement strategies to mitigate, transfer or eliminate such risk where possible.Administration:Maintain business continuity through application maintenance of critical business systemsMinimize both the frequency and impact of conditions that reduce the availability or performance of the network infrastructure.Ensure long term survivability of IT processesSupport administration of mission critical software including financial and traffic.Liaison with stakeholders to resolve high priority system faults and develop resolution procedures.Problem solving relating to mission critical systems.Facilitate changes to static data retained on TBS, including opening of stock, document formats and new media providers.Interface Traffic to external broadcast and accounting systems.Develop traffic dashboards and automated reporting.Design, evaluate, test and apply software changes and reports to Traffic software.Project manage integration of new media types into Traffic. Network Related:Manage Network administrator on impact of conditions that reduce the availability or performance of the network infrastructure.Enable users to have remote access to business-critical information and resources – ensuring continued security of application and data infrastructure.Maintain optimal operation of business infrastructure.Minimize down time of critical systems, reroute to secondary systems until primary is online.Other Tasks:Billing reports and Invoice filesEnsure timeous delivery of daily, weekly, and monthly data integrations.Export and Email of accounting files – changes to static data to support interfaces.Development:Develop expertise in your job and industry.Self-development and ultimate contribution to goals set by Mediamark.
