This position reports to the Process Manager.Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:Manage the receipt of raw productManage the receipt and dispatch of bulk spiritManage the fermentation processLead and Develop subordinatesManage bulk stock, monthly stock takes and relevant documentationGeneral administrative duties (Excise, ICC, Bulk Movements on SAP).Compile and submit excise accounts relevant to area of responsibilityLeading and participating in the Site TPM programme (World class manufacturing practices)Ensure proper internal control in terms of bulk movements on SiteEnsure a sound relationship with internal and external clients and suppliersEnsure adherence to health, safety and environmental requirementsManage weighbridge activities (Stand–in when needed)Member of the site tasting panelWork closely with Distillation Technologist to run process optimallyThe successful candidate must have the following qualification/experience/skills/attributes:Matric or equivalentA relevant tertiary qualification (Diploma or degree) will be highly advantageousA minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity within a Cellar or similar environmentExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsProven leadership skills with an ability to motivate and develop the teamThe ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environmentProficiency in MS Office, with a demonstrable knowledge of SAPExcellent organisational, coordination and planning skillsExcellent conflict resolution and problem solving skillsWillingness to work long, irregular hours when requiredPunctuality and attendance reliabilityThe Company’s approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
