- A bachelor's degree or certification in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
- Provide leadership and direction to the kitchen and bar staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Set clear expectations and performance goals for the team, and ensure they are met consistently.
- Conduct regular training sessions to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Effectively manage staffing levels, schedules, and payroll to optimise operational efficiency.
- Collaborate with the chefs and management to develop innovative and appealing breakfast, lunch and dinner menus that cater to the preferences of our guests.
- Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented according to the highest culinary standards.
- Monitor food costs and inventory levels, and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Maintain a strong focus on guest satisfaction by interacting with guests, addressing feedback, and resolving any issues promptly and professionally.
- Implement strategies to enhance the dining experience, such as special promotions, themed events, and menu enhancements.
- Monitor online reviews and ratings, and take proactive steps to maintain positive sentiment.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations, including food handling procedures and cleanliness standards.
- Conduct regular inspections of the kitchen and dining areas to identify and address any potential hazards or violations.
- Implement corrective actions and training programs as needed to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts for the food and beverage department.
- Monitor revenue and expenses closely, and take proactive measures to control costs and maximise profitability.
