Permanent Full-time; Seasonal Shifts (Summer: 12hr shifts, 4 on/4 off, 8am-8pm BST; Winter: Planned Work & Maintenance)Role Overview:
We're on the lookout for a seasoned 3rd Line Network Support Engineer with a passion for wireless technologies and a knack for exceptional service delivery. This role is ideal for someone who excels in a remote setting, offering direct support and proactive maintenance to ensure our network services remain top-notch. Your expertise will play a vital role in our continuous effort to elevate network performance and customer satisfaction.Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead 3rd line support efforts, specializing in troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues.
2. Oversee and refine WAN, LAN, WLAN configurations, guest access, and authentication services.
3. Conduct in-depth analysis and troubleshooting for Wi-Fi, PTP, and WAN networks, aiming for excellence in customer service.
4. Spearhead network improvement projects, collaborate with team members, and provide mentorship to junior engineers.
5. Embrace the challenges of seasonal workloads, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to network management and improvement.What We're Looking For:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in wireless and wired network management, ideally within an ISP or MSP environment.
2. Professional networking or wireless certifications (e.g., CWNP, CWNA, CCNA) are highly regarded.
3. A solid understanding of network infrastructure, with hands-on experience in cabling, point to point radio links, and wireless network architecture.
4. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a penchant for teamwork and mentorship.
5. Ability to thrive in a remote work environment, demonstrating exceptional time management and adaptability to flexible working hours.
