This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise and administrative skills to effectively oversee the Wireless Internet Service Provider (WISP) and IT Managed Services. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT management, with a focus on wireless networking technologies and a proven ability to lead and inspire a technical team.RequirementsMinimum of 5 years of experience in a technical management role.Demonstrated success in managing wireless internet services and IT managed services.Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science).Proven experience in a technical management role, preferably in the telecommunications or IT managed services industry.Strong understanding of wireless networking technologies and protocols.Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is a plus.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage a team of technical professionals, including network engineers, system administrators, and support staff.Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of wireless internet services.Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of the network infrastructure.Manage the delivery of IT managed services to clients, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and support.Develop and implement service level agreements (SLAs) to meet client expectations.Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within the organization.Evaluate and recommend new technologies to enhance the company's services and capabilities.Plan and execute technical projects within defined timelines and budget constraints.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.Collaborate with vendors for procurement of hardware, software, and other technical services.Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.Please forward your CV to felicia@proteaplacements.co.zaJob Type: Full-time
