CAD Systems Specialist - Cape TownFull job descriptionJOB SUMMARYOur client is a leading and respected player in vessel construction and they are looking to a hire Computer Aided Drafting Specialist. Reporting to theTechnical Engineering Manager will be responsible for all software systems used in the Design and Engineering departments.THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Higher Certificate (NQF Level 5) or National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Information Technology/Industrial Design/ Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or Architecture (preferably Naval).At least 2 years as a design or drawing office supervisor accompanied by at least 3 years (may be in parallel to the 2 years) working with SolidWorks CAD and/or CATIA and SolidWorks PDM.Advanced Certification in SolidWorks and/or CATIA CAD systemsCOMPETENCIES:Good with computer Hardware and LAN administration.Good with various computer software – especially MS Office.Limited programming skillsPlease be advised that only shortlisted candidates that have the specific skills and experiences required to fulfil the responsibilities of the role will be contacted for an interview by one of our consultants.
