- Provide financial analysis support to the technical teams in USAID client missions and offices.
- In support of localization initiatives, engage with implementing partners (IPs) through training, sites visits, and financial reviews.
- Ensure that financial analysis tasks and projects are carried out within appropriate time limits.
- Support and provide guidance to technical teams in the design, implementation, and evaluation of USAID projects.
- Perform in tasks such as financial analysis, review, and assessments.
- Enhance the integrity of internal operations and controls through periodic reviews of management and accounting control.
- Aid in the development of the Mission audit plan and track timely closure of audit recommendations.
- Offer strategic advice on areas related to financial analysis, audits, and operations.
- Maintain compliance with all rules and regulations of USG and USAID policies in Southern Africa.
- Must possess a bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience providing support and technical expertise around a variety of financial initiatives for stakeholders in international development.
- Experience working with USAID as a financial analyst, with preference for USAID Mission experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience in the functional areas of financial analysis, ideally in cross-cultural and overseas environments.
- Have specific knowledge of USG and USAID regulations as it relates to international development and financial management.
- Must have or be able to obtain a USAID Facility Access Clearance (FAC).
- If outside of Southern Africa, must be open to regular TDYs or relocation to South Africa.
- Display strong leadership skills and the ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural team.
- Possess excellent writing and communication skills.
