They are a pure fund management business that provides both individual and institutional investors with access to markets across a number of geographies.They now seek an equity analyst: South Africa to join their team. You are a smart capable analyst. You are an employment equity candidate. This company don't recruit often as they have people knocking down their door - but they are keen to open the search up to find a gem that perhaps isn't looking but may be tempted with this brand to review!JOB DESCRIPTION WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO:

You will be required have the right attitude and a genuine passion for investments over years of experience;
You will be required to research and analyze shares listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange to identify investment opportunities from which portfolio managers can make decisions thereby adding value to clients' portfolios;
You will be required to have full research responsibilities, including company and sector analysis of listed companies on the JSE;
You will be responsible for assimilation and dissemination of broker information, annual reports, and company visits;
You will be responsible for involvement in investment team debates;
You will be responsible for presentation of recommendations to the investment team;
You will be responsible for tracking performance of companies that this firm has holdings in.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

You are a CA(SA); with clients at articles ideally in FS;
You have a Business Science degree (finance stream);
You have an engineering qualification; not mechanical
You have an actuarial qualification;
You are a CFA; or CFA level 2
You have a minimum of 5 years current, relevant working experience as an equity analyst within the asset management or stock broking industries - this would be a distinct advantage;
You have experience in building models for forecasting purposes that test and support your investment decisions;
You have proven academic ability with consistently top results during your degree as well as a demonstrated curiosity about business and financial markets;
You are proficient in the Microsoft office suite.
