Are you passionate about the law and compliance? Our client is seeking a meticulous and ethically driven Legal Advisor to spearhead their compliance management. This pivotal role will have you at the heart of ensuring stringent adherence to POPIA and PAIA, safeguarding information, and championing access to information rights.Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine the PAIA Manual, ensuring seamless access to information processes.
- Be the custodian of personal information protection, maintaining robust POPIA frameworks.
- Craft and execute a comprehensive compliance program, setting the standard for regulatory excellence.
- Engage in proactive compliance risk management, monitoring, and reporting, fostering a culture of compliance.
- Provide expert legal advice and support across a spectrum of compliance and information management issues.Requirements:
- Possession of an LLB or equivalent degree and admission as a Legal Practitioner.
- At least 3 years of post-qualification experience in a legal capacity, with a deep understanding of PAIA and POPIA.
- Demonstrated experience in compliance management and legislative implementation.
- Proficiency in MS Office is essential for success in this role.
- Additional qualifications or registration with the Compliance Institute of SA would be advantageous.
