You will use your expertise to solve problems including the design of the program flow, code and unit testing.ResponsibilitiesWriting and reviewing portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.Working closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.Collaborating with other technical personnel or team members to finalize requirements.Implementing development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.Operating in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.Resolving technical issues and completing bug fixes, as necessary.RequirementsDemonstrate extensive experience in software engineeringHave a degree in Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experienceHave experience or familiarity of data modeling principlesShow a proficiency with data manipulation languagesDisplay an ability to work with complex data modelsHave experience in development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JS, XML, SQLShow the ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.Have knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), data storage subsystems, and test driven developmentHave experience in AWS, Kubernetes, Lucene, Solr or Elasticsearch is highly desirableWork in a way that works for youWe promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
