Junior Logistic Coordinator

A transport company based in Blackheath, Cape Town is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Junior Logistics Coordinator with experience in Container Transport.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process orders (ANF’s).
• Monitor and follow up on Navis updates.
• Update Master sheets on Excel
• Generate Container Terminal Orders
• Coordinate with Operations Directors on delivery planning
• Create bookings on Transnet Navis System
• Track stacks and last free days on Navis.
• Monitor vessel updates from TPT.
• Follow up with Customers on release documents (DRO).
• Manage daily deliveries by tracking drivers
• Sending booking and container details to drivers.
• Update tracking and dates on system.
• Ensure correct turn-in of empty containers to the assigned depot.
• Contact empty depots to confirm acceptance of containers.
• Check completed Container Terminal Orders and update master sheets.

Requirements

• The applicant needs to have a minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in container transport operations.
• Must be computer Literate and well versed in Microsoft Excel
• Be a quick learner and work efficiently.
• Must be able to work overtime and on weekends/Public holidays if needed.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize.
• Excellent professional work ethic
• Good time management, organisational skills and detail-orientated

Salary

Salary is marketed related, knowledge and experience dependent.
