In this role you will be reporting to Project Management Officer Manager and will be responsible to Lead the execution of medium-size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB policy, relevant cyber security regulations and standards, contractual agreements, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.Your responsibilities
  • Leading the project team, establishing the project execution approach and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning and monitoring and controlling activities for both internal and external resources in order to accomplish all project goals
  • Providing performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects, providing instructions and guidelines, actively involving in continuous improvement and simplification, supporting improving guidelines, tools and templates
  • Ensuring compliance to relevant cyber security regulations, standards and contractual requirements, budget, sales and operations planning, supporting local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders
  • Ensuring that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies, effectively monitoring and controlling project progress and efficient resource utilization, monitoring and controlling project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow
  • Identifying, qualifying, quantifying and managing project risks and ensuring that all opportunities are identified and pursued, capturing, analyzing and sharing lessons learned throughout the project, driving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out and acknowledgement by the customer, all in accordance with the contract
  • Ensuring that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements, coordinating with Supply Chain Management and successfully procuring required services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers
  • Supporting Procurement and Logistics in supplier negotiations, claims and project changes, acting as the key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues, building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicating with all stakeholders
  • Ensuring the project follows and complying with company health, safety and environmental policies, creating project HSE plans and ensuring that common HSE policies and reporting are implemented across the project with all stakeholders, including collaboration/consortium partners and sub-suppliers
  • Demonstrating unique actions/initiatives to support site safety and ensuring consistent HSE performance, leading the project team members to achieve project requirements, delivery of contracted deliverables and meeting the committed project result, demonstrating and proactively applying immediate recovery actions to mitigate schedule delays and cost overruns
  • Defining and applying project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks proactively to avoid possible future schedule deviations with OTD impact, applying earned value method to manage critical path and project float to optimize the schedule
  • Accurately forecasting schedule to determine if the project is still within defined tolerance ranges and identifying any necessary change requests to drive the closure, planning and tracking all project activities, establishing scheduling risks and opportunities in order to deliver projects on time according to commitments to the customer and ABB
  • Demonstrating ability to guide and collaborate with a project planning and control specialist, identifying and planning all document deliverables required by the contractual scope of work and incorporating plan into the overall project plan/schedule, tracking document progress and following up on overdue comments from customer
Your background
  • National Diploma in Project Management
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project management
  • Must have own transport & customer facing experience.
  • Preference will be given to EE candidates.
