Project/Production Manager - Western CapeFull job descriptionA reputable Company has a vacancy in the Manufacturing Department which reports to the Manufacturing Project Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire project scope (inclusive of production management) of a local specialised multi-year project. This position calls for a hands-on approach across all disciplines in Project Management in an Industrial/Manufacturing environment. Intermittent travel will be a pre-requisite.QUALIFICATIONSND Mech. Engineering (minimum) or BSc (Eng.) Degree Formal Project Management qualification will be advantageous.EXPERIENCEAt least 5 years’ experience in a multi-million-rand steel fabrication project management. Above experience should be in an SOE, Utility or Petrochemical environment.Working with classification societies/3rd parties High level computer literacy: MS Projects, MS Office, ERP System.Strong commercial background. FIDIC/NEC3 knowledge would be advantageous. Sound Technical/Engineering background.Excellent administrative and communication skills Negotiation skillsRESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKSManage project process, planning, procurement, implementation, and review. Prepares and manages project financial budgets.Contract interpretation, selection and management of third-party suppliers. Manage and oversee efficient running of the project department.Motivates, develops and coach project management team. Manages Fabrication Shop dedicated to the project.Stakeholder management including claims and negotiation.
