Plant Manager - MoreersburgFull job descriptionPlant ManagerMoorreesburg, Western CapeCompetitive SalaryThe primary responsibility of this role is to provide overall direction, control, and management of all activities within the manufacturing, project, and logistical operations at the Moorreesburg site. Your goal is to ensure the achievement of production goals while meeting growth and profit objectives set by the company.Key Performance Areas:Manage and implement operational plans for maximum capacity utilization of the plant, aligning with growth and profit objectives.Direct, plan, and coordinate production activities, ensuring quality, quantity, and cost objectives are met.Implement production plans, including procurement, manufacturing, and stock management to achieve production targets.Drive process optimization, plant maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.Facilitate and ensure effective project management processes for plant projects, ensuring completion within scope, time, and cost.Manage installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with safety requirements.Develop and drive effective KPIs and reporting requirements for projects and plant operations.Set and maintain quality control standards, monitoring product specifications throughout the production process.Implement SOPs for all production processes, ensuring high-quality standards are met.Ensure effective security measures and health and safety guidelines are followed, participating in safety forums and activities.Oversee employee management and development, ensuring compliance with procedures and policies, clear job profiles, and effective communication within the team.Provide continuous support, coaching, and mentoring to achieve team objectives.Minimum Requirements:B degree/Technical tertiary qualification (Degree recommended).3-5 years of relevant, hands-on mechanical engineering experience with sound management experience.Knowledge and experience in project management.Previous experience in a similar setup/environment recommended.Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:Service delivery orientated.Excellent communication skills.Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.Starter-finisher mentality.Strong project management skills.Strong analytical skills.Energetic and team player.If you possess the required qualifications and experience, we invite you to apply for this challenging and impactful role.
