Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of regulatory matters pertaining to the financial services industry in South Africa.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including but not limited to the NCA, FAIS, STI & LTI Act, FSRB, Conduct of Financial Institution Act, CPA, Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, and POPI.
Review, draft, and negotiate various agreements, contracts, and legal documents to safeguard the organization's interests.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to assess legal risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
Stay abreast of regulatory developments and industry trends to proactively identify potential legal issues and opportunities.

Education and Experience:

LLB degree
Admitted Attorney
5 years experience in a commercial/corporate legal role, preferably within the financial services sector.
Strong understanding of South African financial services regulations and compliance requirements.
