RESPONSIBILITIESManaging all aspects of the packing process for avocados according to production and packing plan including coaching, guiding and leading the production team to ensure implementation of optimal and required practicesBudget adherence, maintenance scheduling and administrationEmployee wellness and managementManage plant and equipment, building assets and maintenance schedulesAssist with the management of all Software programmesManage and ensure all pack house technical specifications are implemented, managed, recorded, monitored and audited as per specificationsOptimize pack outs, minimize fruit loss and assist in maintaining the cold chain throughout the processEnsure quality product output, accuracy and consistency in the packhouse processes and documentationProvide weekly, monthly and annual reports to the BoardUnderstanding bill of materialsManage recruitment of seasonal staff 2. REQUIREMENTS OF POSITIONExperience in managing a multiple grower packhouseDuring packing season longer working hours may be requiredHACCP, BRC, SIZA etc. experience Salary negotiable depending on experience.
