- Quality food preparation and output for functions and day to day catering needs.
- Stock Administration.
- Compliance to food safety and health and safety requirements
- Work with Chef and/or cook in meeting food preparation requirements based on recipe and menu.
- Provide support on quality food preparation and output relevant to catering events.
- Effective maintenance of crockery, cutlery and food serving equipment
- Customer Service
- Knowledge of food, health and safety requirements
- Knowledge and understanding of FIFO principles (stock rotation) and date coding
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, compliance to HACCP standards and other relevant food, health and safety requirements
- Knowledge of cleaning materials
- Knowledge and understanding of menu, prices and specials
- Grade 8 12 or relevant qualification in hospitality services
- 12 18 months relevant experience in a catering and hospitality environment
