Nestled on a beautiful working farm, our school is dedicated to providing a holistic and enriching learning experience. From early childhood to grade 6, we embrace Montessori principles, transitioning seamlessly to the Cambridge curriculum through to Matric while staying true to our core philosophy. We seek an experienced and dedicated School Principal to provide strategic leadership, oversee day-to-day operations, and foster a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to create a collaborative and supportive school community.Responsibilities:
  • Provide visionary educational leadership, upholding Montessori principles and promoting a love for learning among students and staff.
  • Collaborate with educators to seamlessly integrate Montessori and Cambridge curricula, offering a comprehensive and enriching educational experience.
  • Prioritise students’ emotional well-being and development, creating a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with parents, guardians, and the community to foster a supportive learning environment.
  • Nurture teachers’ professional growth through mentorship and ongoing training in Montessori methodologies and the International Cambridge curriculum.
  • Embrace our farm-based setting, integrating the natural world into students’ learning experiences.
  • Provide strategic leadership, guiding the overall direction and goals of the school aligned with educational standards and student needs.
  • Develop and implement effective policies, procedures, and programs supporting a safe and nurturing learning environment.
  • Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate high-quality teachers and staff, fostering a professional learning community.
  • Monitor student performance and implement intervention strategies and support systems as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies, including health and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with district administrators, school boards, and stakeholders to promote the school’s mission and achievements.
  • Handle disciplinary issues and conflict resolution in a fair and consistent manner.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • A bachelor's degree in education or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably in a primary or high school setting.
  • Preferably familiar with the Cambridge curriculum and able to align it seamlessly with Montessori philosophies.
  • Strong knowledge of educational policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, inspiring and motivating others.
  • Exceptional organisational and problem-solving abilities, emphasising data-driven decision-making.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
