Group Engineering Manager – Global operations - JhbFull job descriptionIntroductionThis position will be based at the Head Office in Woodmead.DescriptionThis position is responsible to provide Engineering Support to Minopex global Group Operations. This will include but not be limited to the role out and standardisation of a maintenance management system. The role will have a strong focus on supporting the operational sites in terms of safety, quality, standards, and service objectives using continuous improvement methodologies. This position would require work to be done for internal and external clients, conduct maintenance gap analyses and operational audits as per the company requirements. Develop client documentation and reports as required.Duties & Responsibilities:EngineeringTechnical Lead for maintenance management and associated utilities to support Minopex Group Operational sites and ensure appropriate maintenance standards are formulated and rolled out to all sites and client requirements.Be a reliability subject matter expert to understand the critical aspect of condition monitoring requirements and be the point of reference for auditsLeads , manages and implements measures that takes the Minopex engineering centre of excellence to world standards on quality and delivery – retaining and growing our client bases globallyEmbraces the best fit technology and innovation to drive the best in class service from this centre of excellenceLeads continuous improvement processesEvaluates maintenance strategies to ensure the effective design and implementation thereof across all the sitesMaximizes equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costsDevelops, reviews, and improves documentation such as Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions etcLeads repair programmes on equipmentEnsures that the QA and QC policies, inspection techniques are implemented for all equipment repair typesCritical analyses of all site equipment and spares requirementsOperational ManagementAdheres to all regulatory requirements and participates in audits to enhance maintenance efficiencies. Monitors and follows up to ensure timely completion of all commitmentsParticipates in and writes quality investigations and Change Controls as required and is the Owner of applicable action itemsProvides technical support for maintenance requirements to the sites as requiredOptimizes maintenance strategies (preventive and corrective) for the systemWorks in conjunction with team members to ensure that the system provides a computerized maintenance management system, spare parts inventory, planning, and scheduling.Works with quality, operations, and engineering to support the SitesLeads technical troubleshooting efforts to determine the root cause of equipment failures and underperformance and implements timely and effective corrective actionsDrives implementation of continuous improvement actionsLeads a Team of reliability engineers to improve plant uptime and effective cost control for life cycle costing.FinancialManages personal and project budget man-hoursEnsures maintenance requirements are in accordance with capital budget and quantitiesEnsures proper change management procedures are adhered toAssists with the budget process for the maintenance functionClient RelationsEnsures that all interactions with Clients are conducted in a professional and respectful mannerEnsures that Clients are kept informed and up to date on the status of project technical aspectsEnsures that Minopex Operations remains the Clients Engineering service provider of choiceQualification Requirements:A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical or a related technical field)Experience and Skills RequirementsAt least ten (10) years’ experience in a similar role is required with:o Maintenance excellence experience in a mining operations environment, including implementing upgraded processeso Experience addressing site infrastructure needso Processing, mining, and/or machine control systems experienceGood knowledge of CMMS, Lean techniques, statistical analysis, and automated systemsExceptional oral and written communication and collaboration skillsExcellent problem identification, solving, and analytical skillsAbility to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly languageExcellent Computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPointStrong engineering project management skills
