- More than 4 years experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001
- Tertiary qualification in Quality, Health and Safety, Environmental or Manufacturing
- Coordinate and drive preparedness and readiness to all safety and health protocols.
- Implement all quality related methods, strategies and techniques
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance employee
- Train, appoint and monitor health and safety representatives
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports related to quality, safety, health, and environmental performance.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in areas related to SHEQ performance.
- Manage all facets of Health & Safety (H&S) including risk assessments, quality inspections, and audits.
- Develop and implement compliance training plans
- Train and evaluate staff on all relevant requirements
- Liaise with Department of Environmental Affairs, Labour and Employment and all other institutions and departments that may be necessary to engage with
- Reports to Executive Develop, recommend, and measure controls to improve the manufacturing process to ensure higher-quality goods.
- reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.
- Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies to maintain retention of accreditations.
- Approving or rejecting finished products and submitting daily reports thereon.
- Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis
- Responds to and investigate concerns and complaints from employees and take appropriate action.
- Investigate accidents and incidents that occur in the workplace, establish root causes, and recommend remedial action.
- Laisse with both internal and external security personnel.
- Manage overall safety of the business
- Drive PPE compliance through line management and ensure that the correct PPE is worn at all times.
- Conduct educational awareness programs and promote occupational health & safety, quality awareness within the organisation.
- Ensure risk assessments are adhered to and updated.
- Promote a safer and healthier environment in the workplace.
- Prepare and submit relevant reports
