IT Audit Trainee (General Control Review) - JhbFull job descriptionJob DescriptionMazars Institute of Development is currently recruiting for an individual to join their IT Audit Department, Audit and Advisory function, in the role of IT Audit Trainee (General Control Review). The main function of the successful candidate would be to perform IT General Control Reviews, IT Governance Reviews, Business Continuity Reviews and Cyber Security Audit tasks.Duties and ResponsibilitiesExecute the IT General Controls Review, IT Governance Reviews, Business Continuity and Cyber Security.Preliminary reviews of systems, and process walkthroughs.Documentation and flowcharting of business processes and systemsIdentify risks as input into business risk identification processExecution of IS audit engagements as agreed with the Senior IS Auditor /IS Audit Manager Manager/Provides feedback to Senior IT Auditors, Managers at audit debriefs or when required to do so, escalates problems to the manager promptlyManages audit relationships’Provide technical expertise and advice on Information Technology and understand IT security-related issues and requirements.Responsible for deliverables and feedback to Senior IT Auditors , Managers; andAttends and participate in kick-off meetings and wrap up meetings as and when requested.Prepare audit files with standard informationExecute audit programs and record work donePrepare and audit findings and recommendations to address root cause of audit findingsMinimum RequirementsCandidate requirementsRelevant IT Degree / Diploma / BCom with information systems / BSC Computer Science, majors/interestInitiative / pro-activeAdherence to principles and valuesWriting and reporting skillsInformation gathering and problem analysis skillsAble to demonstrate and exercise sound judgment skillsplanning and organisational skillsAble to work and cope under pressureStrong teamwork skillsResults driven and able to achieve work goals and objectivesGeneral CompetenciesAbility to work within a teamStrong time management skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing deadlines effectivelyDemonstrated strong problem solving and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicateAbility to work in an ambiguous environment
