Assistant Accountant

• NQF 7 Accounting / Finance qualification
• 3 – 5 years’ experience in FMCG, manufacturing or retail or completed articles
• Attention to detail, ability to self-start and willingness to get operationally involved
• Knowledge of and experience on ERP systems and intermediate Excel skills
• Understanding of tax and VAT
• Ability to compile financial reports
• Previous exposure to fresh produce / exports industry advantageous
• Full financial function up to trial balance including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cashbook, stock control and general ledger
• Daily capturing and processing of financial transactions onto ERP system
• Assistance with export documentation and clearing of incoming foreign payments
