Material Coordinator (FIXED TERM CONTRACT) - Somerset WestFull job descriptionMaterial Coordinator (FIXED TERM CONTRACT)Rheinmetall Denel Munition (RF) (Pty) Ltd in Somerset West Cape TownRheinmetall/Material Coordinator (FIXED TERM CONTRACT) Ref.-Nr.:ZA00263Schedule type:Full TimeContract Type:Temporary WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FORThe Material Coordinator is responsible for the successful execution of order placement and material expediting for the on-time deliveries.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:Receive, process and administrate requisitions – expedite deliverablesManages and monitor supplier performance management against deliverables.Engage suppliers to increase their capabilities in line with production requirements to meet sales target.Assessment of current supplier’s capabilities regarding manufacturing by evaluating them with regard to machines, equipment in line with Procurement.Develop good relationships with suppliers, gain knowledge of products, sources, prices, design of technical commodities and servicesAchieve maximum integration with other departments within the companyIdentify, investigate, potential opportunities to current suppliers to better delivery capabilities.WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVEMinimum Qualification: Diploma in Procurement/Logistics/Supply Chain/Transport/ Operations.Valid driver’s license and/or Learners License1-2 years’ experience working in the Manufacturing, Logistics, Supply Chain environment1- 2 years’ experience in working with an ERP System. SAP will be an added advantageComputer Literate (MS Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Procurement/Technical qualification experience will be an added advantageRead and understand technical drawings will be an added advantageGood written, verbal and presentation skillsGood interpersonal and negotiation skillsGood problem solving and analytical skillsBroad Supply Chain experience in a manufacturing environmentGood planning and organisational skills – time managementProven ability to take responsibility and high level of integrityKnowledge of processes, administration, procedures, quality, production, products, maintenance and safety requirements.Proven oral and written communication skills and ability to prepare and deliver clear, concise presentations & reports.Action orientated with a sense of urgency and responsiveness in meeting business targets.Demonstrated initiative and resourcefulness with ability to work independently.Continuous improvement focus and ability to drive change management.Clear understanding of working according to procedures and adherence to Compliance at a larger scale.WHAT WE OFFER YOUMarket -related salary
