The successful candidate will report to the Bulk Stock/Fermentation Controller.Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:Transfer of bulk spirits in processing departmentOversee the offloading of liquid sugar, Marula pulp, rebate wines, distilling wines and other raw products for distillation.Fermentation of Marula pulpOversee the blending of productOversee the loading of spirit productsSupervision of subordinatesPreparing of samples for testing and/or Organoleptic assessmentAssist in the monthly Bulk Stock Take process.Execution of daily tasks and activities to achieve departmental targets.Ensure daily tasks are done to correct company procedures and work instructions.Compliance with OHSAct standardsEffective Record-keepingMaintain cellar hygiene standards.Drawing and testing of production tank samplesApply strict and accurate loss control.Active participation in TPM team activitiesParticipate in effective problem solvingAd hoc duties when required The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:Minimum Grade 12 or equivalentAt least 2 years’ experience in a Cellar environment, preferably in a supervisory capacityAbility to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environmentKnowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standardsWillingness to work extended hours (overtime) and/or irregular hours when requiredAbility to use own initiativeExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsGood organizing, coordinating and planning skillsEnergetic self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervisionPunctuality and Attendance reliability The Company’s approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
