- The primary role of the Data Protection Officer is to ensure that all data subjects (data from, staff, customers, providers, and other individuals) are protected and conform to data governance policies
- Enforcing the Data Management and Data Breach Prevention Policy.
- Report findings monthly to Superior.
- Ability to perform duties under tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Hybrid provider ecosystems. Linux is a bonus.
- An understanding of modern information security methodologies and standards, especially in a Hybrid environment.
- Knowledge of Data Lost and Data Classification.
- Good communication skills
- Matric or equivalent qualification recognized by the Department of Higher Education & Training
- A+ and N+
- Using Current Automated systems to create a register of reports and escalate persistent risk.
- Create logs and follow up on logs with card data and personal data and ensure data subjects are stored correctly or cleared.
- Educate users to better use the tool sets that are provided to safeguard against DLP.
- Advice the Superior if the automated system is incorrect with a detailed report, and if possible, how systems can be enhanced.
- Willing to work overtime - as an exception when required.
- Perform standby duties - as an exception when required.
- Must be self-learning.
- Able to work independently.
- Must have own and reliable transport.
