Tower Construction Manager - JhbFull job descriptiontimeframe and budget.JOB RESPONSIBILITIESOversee and manage tower construction from conception to completionDevelopment and implementation of best practice acceptance criteria for subcontractorsDevelop, implement and adapt tower construction process and build specification to suite company and client requirements by implementing industry changes as neededPlan, coordinate and manage multiple- contractors and construction projects ensuring projects are delivered on time, to quality and within budgetAnalyse and interpret constructions plans against BOM, BOS or BOQAnalyse and validate contractor quotations against TSSR and construction plansIdentify, analyse, manage and mitigate risksMonitor construction progress on regular basis and take corrective actionsEnsure contractors apply quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques on all projectsConflict resolution between community, councillors, municipalities and contractorsPrepare regular internal and external management reportsPerform any other tasks assigned by the Tower Portfolio ManagerJOB REQUIREMENTSFormal Degree/Diploma construction management, architecture, engineering or related field5 years' applicable experience demonstrating success in tower construction managementAdvanced knowledge of tower construction management processes, means and methodsExpert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standardsExpert knowledge in electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for BTSKnowledgeable with Microsoft office and project management softwareExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDisciplined, target driven, intuitive and a team playerCompetent in conflict and crisis managementLeadership and human resources management skillsExcellent time and project management skillsExperience managing internal and subcontractor tower crewsAbility to travel as required to monitor construction activities throughout South Africa
