CORE PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide a safe and accurate operation of machinery and equipment within the Horticultural environment;

general open space/garden maintenance.KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

Vegetation cutting & operating other horticulture machinery.
General cleaning and maintenance of open spaces in the University grounds

Minor maintenance of machinery
Horticulture Nursery maintenance
Safe use and cleaning of Horticulture tools and equipment

CORE COMPETENCIES

Knowledge and understanding of the Safety Manual
Basic understanding of all relevant Safety, Health and Environmental requirements
Ability to work in a noisy and hazardous environment
Attention to Detail
Teamwork

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Grade 12 or equivalent (e.g. technical qualification).
Normally 1-3 Years relevant and / or working experience
