- Supervise and lead the in-house team, including couriers, package handlers, and administrative staff.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure a high level of performance and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and address any performance issues.
- Operational Oversight:
- Monitor and manage the daily operations of the in-house team.
- Develop and implement efficient workflows for package sorting, handling, and dispatching.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all operational activities.
- Resource Allocation:
- Optimize staff schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet delivery demands.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and customer service, to streamline operations.
- Monitor and maintain courier fleet, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and available for use.
- Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control measures for package handling and delivery processes.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliveries.
- Address and resolve any issues related to package mishandling or delivery delays.
- Customer Service:
- Work closely with customer service teams to address customer inquiries, concerns, and requests.
- Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance service quality.
- Collaborate with the customer service department to resolve escalated issues.
- Performance Metrics:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for the in-house team.
- Analyze operational data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare regular reports on operational performance for senior management.
- Training and Development:
- Coordinate training programs for the in-house team to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Stay informed about industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a managerial role within the courier or logistics industry.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of courier operations, including sorting, dispatching, and delivery processes.
- Familiarity with courier management software and tracking systems.
- Experience in route optimization and logistics planning.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
