- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance and repair work on all machinery and equipment.
- Ensure strict adherence to OHS Act rules and regulations.
- Develop and execute maintenance schedules in line with the annual plan.
- Manage inventory and procurement of spares and materials.
- Assign and supervise work to team members, ensuring quality and standards are met.
- Handle administrative tasks for the department and ensure accurate and timely submissions.
- Implement a safety loss control program to comply with company safety policies and legislation.
- Assist in planning and scheduling the annual shutdown maintenance program.
- Cultivate a productive and harmonious working environment.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, including utility usage.
- Maximize machinery availability and investigate causes of downtime.
- Stay updated on industry developments through supplier communication.
- Matric and trade test certificates in millwright, fitter and turner, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of post-apprenticeship experience in a manufacturing environment (experience in a petrochemical environment is a plus).
- At least 5 years of experience in a maintenance supervisory, foreman, superintendent, or managerial role in a similar environment.
- Proven track record in project planning and execution within allocated timelines and budgets.
- Strong leadership, time management, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
