Senior Stock Risk Controller - JhbFull job descriptionMain Functions will be to:Ensure the cost-effective inventory management of all goods.Extract, combine, analyse raw data to produce the relevant stock-on-hand vs variance reports to the relevant stakeholders.Oversee the stock management data process – between the DC and stores.Ensure highest level of data integrity.Report and scorecard stock distribution performance utilizing internal databases.Knowledge in monitoring the accuracy and completeness of data and regularly validating it against credible data sources.Ability to create an environment where Business may quickly and easily access data and data analysis, ensuring that data processes are continuously maintained and kept up to date.Extract and validate data that goes into CRM / Shopify integrated systems.Oversee the collation of data resulting from the stock taking process.Facilitating with the ageing of stock to ensure clarification of current vs previous season inputs.Execute standardized reporting and ad-hoc analysis (manual counts, high value counts and put measures in place to mitigate losses in high risk stores).Provide input for risk and opportunity management by evaluating the current business (at store format and dc level) from both a quantitative and qualitative perspective.Report all stock outs to DC management, sales and Planning as well as liaise with planning to resolve any stock issues.Plan correct storage location for products in liaison with the DC Manager/ Inventory Clerk (ABC Analysis)Plan and create Physical Inventory Documents for monthly stock counts as well as reduce write-offs and losses to a minimum.Knowledge of adherence to product recall policy.Perform all administration and reporting effectively.Ability to accurately conduct daily and monthly physical inventory counts- DC and stores.Ability to generate and action pre-stock take reports.Ensure that physical stock count is uploaded on Shopify.The Senior stock administrator will also have the following responsibilities (including but not limited to):Data AnalysisProcess Automation and business reportingData preparation, modelling, and analysis.Reviews of collections reporting across all payment modalities.Develop tools and maintain solutions on behalf of business stakeholders.Implementation of relevant procedures Key performance areas include: Ensure the cost-effective inventory management of all goodsOversee the stock management data process- between the DC and storesEnsure the highest level of data integrityReport and scorecard stock distribution performance utilizing internal databasesRecommend business solutions that satisfy stakeholder needs, while continuously exploring and assessing options for value-add to the businessDetermine the best mix of development, interfacing applications, and third-party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and projectSupport management team in their daily decision-making and target achievement process with the underlying goal to drive growth and profitability across the retail store portfolioExecute standardized reporting and ad-hoc analysis (store replenishment, KPI tracking, Individual and bulk IBT processing, and weekly stock count reporting)Provide input for risk and opportunity management by evaluating the current business (at store format and warehouse level) from a quantitative and qualitative perspectiveCheck depot days and cover daily and communicate with planning if requiredReport all stock outs to DC Management, sales, and planning as well as liaise with planning to resolve any stock issuesPlan correct storage location for products in liaison with the Warehouse managerPlan and create physical inventory documents for monthly stock counts as well as reduce write-offs and losses to a minimumEnsure optimal stock availability and stock rotationEnsure strict adherence to corporate governance in terms of stock movement and documentation in accordance with Audit controls, Quality Control, and inspectionsEnsure FIFO principle is applied to stock movements by printing bin pulling sheets for warehouseKnowledge of adherence to product recall policyKnowledge of adherence to stock age policy, ensure that all concessions are raised and approvedperform all administration and reporting effectivelyAbility to accurately conduct daily and monthly physical inventory countsAbility to generate and action pre-stock reportsEnsure that physical stock count is uploaded on SAPResponsible for updating relevant KPI'sEnsure all post goods issues have been processed for all deliveries and driver correctionsResponsible for the follow-up of all inter depot in transit shipments if not receivedResponsible for reconciliations of invoices to shipments and deliveries dailyImprove business process to ensure achievements fo Business objectives The successful candidate must have the following qualifications, skills and experience: 1-3 years data management experience with knowledge of data quality. An understanding of data quality management relating to retail stock data.1-3 years knowledge of systems, advanced proficiency with office, CRM and Shopify integrated systems and data principles that form the basis for data quality management would be advantageous.Experience in inventory audits and retail stock takingMinimum of 1-2 years relevant experience in FMCG/Fashion Retail/Logistics/Distribution EnvironmentComputer literacy in MS Office, SAP, and SuccessFactorsThe ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesExcellent communication skills (both written and oral) and sound presentation skillsThe ability to work after hours and/or shifts if necessary
