1. T/S4 in Electrical Engineering (Heavy Current) or equivalent.
2. Fully conversant with NEC, GCC and FIDIC Contracts
- Minimum of 5 years tendering experience in Protection relays, Schemes & Substation
- Have strong tendering and administration skills.
- High level of technical skills and applications knowledge in Protection relays, Schemes &
customer base.
- In- depth knowledge of Protection relays, Schemes & Substation Automation market and
- Experience in Sales & Marketing of Protection relays, Schemes & Substation Automation
- Computer literacy in access, Excel, word and PowerPoint
- Strong business acumen, negotiation skills and goal driven.
- Ability to work with others to ensure success in the performance of a team.

- Active role in tendering and developing business for the schemes department.
- Ensure that tender closing dates are met.
- Ensure that the company tendering system is always updated.
- Follow on the tender submitted.
- Compilation of tenders with regards to costing and management of quality and compliance of final bid submission.
- Obtain Board and Divisional Approval (where required) for bid submission.
- Analyse company, financial, technical and project related risks to tenders and contracts.
- Administration and evaluation of contracts prior to contract signing.
- Attend to contract modifications and negotiations of contracts.
- Support to technical and project teams relating to commercial conditions and law pertaining to contracts.
- Review of Terms and Conditions of Sales and improvement of tender process and templates used for day-to-day quotations.
- Ensure compliance to contractual terms and conditions of customers.
- Administration of yearly contract price adjustments.
- Maintain customer support through regular customer visits.
Tendering:
- Responsible to put together a complete technical and commercial tender and/or quotation within stipulated timelines.
- Preparing tender documentation including cost summary sheets, risk assessments and approval documentation.
- Ensure that the tenders are processed and managed in an efficient manner to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Required to attend tender briefings, customer site visits and/or final tender submissions and tender price opening where applicable.
- To ensure that the company fulfils its contractual obligations relating to time, cost and specification:
- Review enquiry documentation and take part in the formulation of tender winning strategies.
- To tender in such a way that a positive cash flow can be maintained on a contract execution.
- Identify sales leads, qualify leads and make sales pitch for Protection Schemes & Substation Automation products to new and existing clients.
- Develop and maintain relationship with new and existing customers, consultants, and decision makers within the customer’s organisation.
- Be able to network with the customers when required.
- Take part in the development of business growth strategy, focused both on divisional financial gain and customer satisfaction.
