External Sales Rep (Steel Rep)

• Call on customers or potential customers within the Area serviced by the company
• Determine suitable products required by customer and suggest alternative and/or additional items related to the customers order, as well as providing pricing for all goods supplied
• Exhibit a positive, friendly & helpful attitude with customers
• Promote the business and reputation of the company and maintain and project a positive image of the company in the market
• Maintain a professional code of conduct and ethics as far as confidentiality and secrecy is concerned with regards to the day to day running and policy decisions of the branch and company
• Ensure that proper documentation is processed for sales orders in accordance with company policy
• Ensure that the companys Credit and COD policy is followed with regards to any sales made, and not deviate from such policy, except with the expressed authority of senior management
• Might be expected to receive cash and cheque payments that will be handled with honesty and in accordance with company policy
• Obey and comply with all lawful and reasonable instructions given by management

• Proven Sales experience in the Steel industry
• Able to work under pressure and Ability to multi-task
• Good team-player, Self-starter and Driven

• Ability to use SAGE system and

• Sales related experience and Matric and/or Sales-related formal qualification will be an added advantage
