Polyurethane Production Operator - ElandsfonteinFull job descriptionMinimum RequirementsA minimum of 3 years working experience as machinist, with working knowledge of manufacturing / casting Polyurethane (Cast PU) products.Minimum of Grade 12 / Std 10, with mathsThe ability to operate a lathe machine.General:Reviews samples, drawings or instruction, in order to understand the product specifications.Plans the sequence of necessary actions to be taken in order to complete a given job.Takes all measurements and marks material for cutting or shaping.Selects appropriate machines (e.g. lathes) and positions or loads material for a job.Takes responsibility for overall quality of work performed, ensuring that the final product meets all applicable quality requirements and standards.Ensures efficient set-up by:Identifying, assembling, maintaining, preparing, packaging and sorting of moulds.Ensures correct casting by:Dispensing and mixing product correctly and as per set standards and requirements.Assembling and disassembling mould correctly.Actively inspecting all parts for possible defectsEffective waste management.Produces quality finishing by:Ensuring optimal curing processes.Ensuring trimming is done to spec.Performing detailed final inspection.Performs efficient machine maintenance by:Ensuring that machines remain calibrated.Performing routine machine maintenance and repairing minor damagesEnsuring continuous temperature monitoring and control.Ensuring correct cleaning and storing procedures are followed.PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU HAVE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS.ONLY SHORTLISTED APPLICANTS WILL BE RESPONDED TO.
